Reviews
Unfriendly and very rude staff… I could have commented on the taste of their cakes, if I were able to eat them. The waitresses were super annoying with their behaviors against us as customers, therefore we left.
1. Waitress rudely says that she speaks only german,
2. When we came, i saw nice free table next to the window and i asked if we (2 people) can sit there. This waitress said that it’s for 4 people so we cant. We had to pick much worse spot. Then in a second some couple came and they took that table next to the window. Another table next to the window became free and i asked again if we can sit there - and she repeated that its not for 2 people, even after i pointed on that couple. By the end of our stay, all tables “for 4” next to windows were occupied by couples. So unfair!
Delicious cakes and friendly staff😌 …
I've gone here for breakfast and for afternoon cake but the latter is by far the best. Super friendly staff and photogenic food items (although I ate it too quickly to take a pic). Would definitely recommend.
Nice cafe with outdoor and indoor seating. Tasty traditional cakes from Thüringen, which are the flat trays of various flavors such as Eierschecke, Zupfkuchen, Mohnkuchen. All very tasty. During summer you can sit outside on the terrace and people watch.
Our experience was not so good since it took really long until we could order, the staff was a bit rude, the küchen is not so tasty and the coffee neither, and they charged us 3,30€ for 3 glasses of tap water (without mentioning the waitress it in advance). A bit disappointing
Great place. Sweet was ok but the ordered cappuccino came .....twice cold eventhough I mentioned the problem the first time. Taste wise disappointing
Location: is very Central and easily accessible. It's front of the Wagnergasse so hard to miss.
Ambience: it has this very gilded look and fancy crockery and stuff like that. . . Mostly old people are the crowd. Not really my.type.of cafe. . .
Service: is too hasty and not at all friendly. I guess they are quite busy but I know other cafes which are cosier and have Bette service.
Food is okay. It's mostly cakes and breakfast. Breakfast is okay. Not amazing. Coffee is also okay. Not amazing. The cake variety is a lot. Can be overwhelming. They are fine. I've had better. Maybe it's the only cake cafe that's why people go there . It's not cheap for sure
Try once.for breakfast and once for coffee and cake.
